Say Goodbye to Mask-Related Acne with Our New MASKNE Collection

We’re good with the masks, but not so cool with the “maskne” that comes along with it! That’s why we went to work to create an all-natural preventative spray, pairing it with some of our favorite products that protect and heal the skin.

What’s Maskne?

When you wear masks often or for extended periods of time, like so many of us need to do these days, breakouts, bumps, and other skin irritations are likely to occur.

Mask-related acne happens when sweat, oil, and bacteria are trapped on the skin while wearing a mask, creating the perfect breeding ground for breakouts. First, the bacteria in your mouth gets trapped and the mask creates a humid environment where it thrives. Then, the rubbing of the mask against your skin causes irritations that allow that bacteria to cause blemishes.

Is it just us or is COVID bad enough without adding acne to the mix? That’s why we went on a mission to resolve maskne!

The MASKNE Relief Collection

Our MASKNE Relief Collection features our brand new MASKNE Relief Spray that heals, protects and prevents mask acne. This fast-absorbing, all-natural spray reduces the chances that you’ll break out from your mask. All you need to do is spritz your face and inside of the mask and allow both to dry. This reduces the amount of bacteria touching the face and causing havoc within the skin irritation.

As always, what we put in our products matters greatly. We chose ingredients that would not only eliminate bacteria but protect your skin too -- naturally, of course. The essential oils featured in this spray include peppermint, lavender, and lemon. The peppermint in our spray has an added bonus of keeping your breath nice and fresh under your mask!

The full MASKNE Relief Collection includes:

MASKNE Relief Spray -- reduces bacteria that can irritate the skin

Clear Complexion Serum -- heals blemishes caused by bacteria

Intensive Healing Balm / Boo Boo Balm -- helps soothe and heal skin and cracked lips

Choice of Lip Balm -- heals cracked lips

Creating a Maskne-Free Routine

Once you have your MASKNE Relief Bundle, the routine to keep mask-related blemishes at bay is easy:

  • Wash your face mask daily.

  • Wash your face morning and night with a gentle cleanser.

  • Apply Clear Complexion Serum to the entire face to clear current irritation, breakouts and bumps.

  • Apply the Intensive Healing Balm (or Boo Boo Balm) prior to putting on your face mask. This forms a protective barrier and reduces the amount of friction your skin experiences from the mask. This friction can cause skin irritation.

  • Spray the MASKNE Relief Spray every few hours of wear -- both on the mask and on your face as a toner. Masks create a humid environment in which bacteria thrive. The MASKNE Spray works as a germ-fighting spray.

  • Last but not least, drink lots of water!
